Hydrant contains 0-4g of added sugar per serving depending on the flavor. We include sugar in Hydrant because it actually helps to speed up the absorption of the electrolytes and water into your bloodstream. It does this by activating the sodium-glucose co-transport mechanism within your body, essentially working as a molecular pump in your body. When the pump is activated (aka when sugar is present), your cells' absorption rate of electrolytes and water is sped up helping you hydrate faster.

We get this question a lot - and the answer is it depends on what function you're using. For sleep, we would recommend no more than 2 sticks in 24 hours. For Energy, no more than 3 sticks in 24 hours (300mg of caffeine), For Immunity, 1 stick in 24 hours, and then for Hydrate you can have as many as 8, but we'd recommend closer to 4 as your maximum.
